Synopsis

TRIPLO A is a fiction documentary with a non-fiction documentary inside. In the first one, the story of the Artist António André is told in the format of a “documentary about an artist”. In the second, Arcos de Valdevez is seen to investigate the relationship between the Portuguese and this “culture” thing.

This Artist’s work consists of a “continuous performance” with the aim of being a normal guy. From the outset, he does not want to be filmed or answer questions about art. Therefore, the documentary will have to develop strategies to reveal what is behind this work. One of these strategies will be to interview “real life” people — a critic, a gallerist, etc. — about this fictional gesture.

Going through this, Arcos de Valdevez appears to us as a concrete place in the form of a question: what is this art for?
